  • Geolocation failed

    By far the most common bet-blocking error. Disable VPNs, allow location services for the DraftKings app, and reinstall the geocomply plugin on desktop.

  • Live cash-out unavailable

    Cash-out is one of the first things DraftKings suspends under heavy in-play load. The bet itself stays live, just the early-settle button disappears.

  • Same Game Parlay won't build

    SGPs depend on a separate pricing service. If legs error out around kickoff, the SGP engine is rate-limited; single-game props usually still work.

Background

DraftKings launched as a daily-fantasy operator in 2012 and pivoted aggressively into sports betting after the 2018 Murphy v. NCAA decision overturned PASPA. It went public via a SPAC in 2020 and, together with FanDuel, now handles the majority of US online sportsbook volume.
